Palmtree: What are your interest/hobbies?

Sha: Roller skating, and keeping my hands in DIY projects are definitely in my top three. But, carnival hopping to different Caribbean islands has been in the number one spot for quite some time, especially once I hit adulthood. There’s a sense of ancestral connectivity, love of life, and freedom that comes with each Caribbean carnival or festival experience.

Palmtree: Any special aspects about yourself that you’d like to share?

Sha: I have a great many gifts that I’ve been blessed with, all relating to visual and performing arts. It’s always been a challenge for me to pick one thing to embrace. Having a platform and personal brand has allowed me to use those gifts in very unique ways. Unlike my former self, I rarely have moments where I feel as though my talents are being wasted. As time goes on I’m sure there will be more opportunities for me to embrace and showcase my beloved gifts.

Palmtree: Any specific achievements/milestones in your career?

Sha: Oh my, this is tough. If I must be honest, nothing is coming to mind! There are so many achievements on the horizon, and once those have actualized I might be able to answer this properly LOL. But, that is not to say that I’m not proud of the work I’ve put in thus far. I’m just happy to have maintained my love for creating and sharing for all these years. It was touch and go during the pandemic, and I’m finally feeling like myself again. My creative mojo has returned.

Palmtree: Fun facts about yourself?

Sha: I’m a true Aquarius. I’m not deeply into astrology, but I do find the character traits between people born within the same sign to be quite intriguing. I am NOT a fan of chocolate, I despise coconut water (Caribbean card revoked) and my first blog was all about cooking and dining. I revamped that blog into what is now T’ingz Nice.com, because typing up recipes was far too time consuming, and it was much more fun to share my handmade designs and carnival experiences.

Palmtree: Wow love that! we’re all about shining a light on caribbean woman and uplifitng them and what they do, so our last request is simple: BIG UP YA SELF!

Sha: My website tingznice.com is the main information source!
You can also find me @Tingznice on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Pinterest, Threads, X and even TikTok. Although, I am most active (and most comfortable) on Instagram and YouTube. I highly recommend tuning into my IG stories for the latest happenings on the Caribbean carnival scene.

Palmtree: Yesssss! thank you so much for allowing us the oppurtunity for this interview it was extremely fun!
